MCCA provides CATASTROPHIC ACCIDENT INSURANCE for all Competitive Cheerleaders during MCCA sanctioned regional and state competitions.
The CATASTROPHIC ACCIDENT INSURANCE POLICY benefits are briefly summarized as follows:
Maximum Benefit payable per covered Injury $5,000,00.00
Policy Deductible $ 25,000.00
Accidental Death Benefit $ 10,000.00
The catastrophic policy contains a $25,000 deductible. Therefore, before the policy will assist in providing financial assistance for an injured participant, the medical expenses must exceed $25,000. However, many schools and competitive cheerleaders sponsors have elected to purchase a supplement insurance program to eliminate the policy deductible.
Various options are offered by the agency that handles our catastrophic insurance, Lawrence E. Smith & Associates, Inc.
