MCCA Scholarship Information

MCCA is proud to offer $15,000  in scholarships to graduating cheerleaders each year.  

  • Ten $1000 scholarships, one $2000 scholarship, and one $3000 Suzy Thompson Scholarship.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION:

  • Individuals will be awarded a one-year, non-renewable scholarship.

  • Applicant’s coach must be a current paid member of MCCA by February 1.

  • Applicant must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA on an unweighted 4.0 scale.  

    • GPA will be verified by a school counselor after 1st semester grades have been posted.

  • Applicant must complete the online MCCA Scholarship Application Form (below).

  • Winners must attend the MCCA Coaches Conference in order to accept the scholarship. 

    • Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Camden on the Lake Resort in Lake Ozark. 

 

APPLICTAION GUIDELINES:

  • Complete ALL of the information of the online Scholarship Application Form to accurately represent the applicant's high school cheer experience, community involvement, GPA, awards, etc.  

 

  • Request Two (2) Letters of Recommendations: 

  1. Coach - responsibility, reliability, leadership qualities, and contributions.

  2. Community Representative – (scout leader, business person, religious leader, 4-H leaders, etc.)  

  • Include how the community representative knows the applicant, impressions of the applicant’s ability to represent the community, etc.

 

  • Submit an essay on “What Cheerleading Means to Me.” Include what you have gained from cheer. 

    • This essay should be no longer than one (1) typed page.  Please save the file as a PDF.

 

SCHOALRSHIP APPLICATION & ESSAY MUST BE SUBMITTED BY FEBRUARY 1 - 11:59pm.
